Recently, I took it upon myself to conduct a mini poll so to speak, I called it Adventures of Party Plan Pat Poll (ok someone was paying attention during the poetry class on alliteration)!

The question I posed to fellow home party consultants and home party representatives was this, “What do you think the number reason dread home parties?”

These were some of the objections that many home party sales representatives had heard:

1. Many people felt the constant pressure for them to join as home party recruits or consultants themselves.
2. Others were very skeptical wondering just how much do recruits get paid to do home parties (apparently very skeptical that one can turn this into a income stream).
3 Then their is the issue of money. Many are cash poor.
4. Of course we must the time factor. The notion of attending a home party, hotel mtg. after a long days hard work is just not appealing. I know, I have been there, it’s like once you get into the door of your house your feet become lead and your eyes by some inexplicable force of nature are glued to the T.V., with your T.V. dinner by your side!

I’m going to share with you how really great & subtle approaches you can use and you will make you more home party sales and get you more bookings for your home parties!!

Step 1: Set up an e-mail marketing system or a guest-book. Make it a point to capture the contact information of your home business party sales. E-mails are easy to get, (sadly because we all have junk boxes)! But stick around I will show you how to increase your email readability to 80%.

Step 2: Post Cards are a wonderful marketing tool and underutilized by home party sales representatives. I do not need to share with you the stories of how many people love to get a personal message. We all want contact. Use post cards to thank home party attendees, as invitations to home parties, as a follow up and method of keeping in touch with your customers, downline and potential clients!

Step 3: Get the word out. I know that many of the party plan sales companies have monthly specials and hot products on discount. You are going to use your e-mail & post-card marketing system to inform (not sell or hound), your customers, business partners and prospective clients of promotions you are having!

Step 4: Give away inexpensive free gifts. To be successful at this you need to understand your target market (you know those people who are most likely to use your service or products). Once you know what your home party attendees like, you can begin to customize your gifts. Now how is that for power of personal touch!

You are going to use the same methods to get people to attend your lavish home parties. What we are doing here is establishing credibility, building relationships and setting the stage to get referrals. After all the home party plan industries success is built on the concept of word of mouth.
