Hey, It is nice to see you here again. One of my recent posts covered the topic of the most expensive milk and cookies I ever had. ( I really fought the urge to title said post how I got ambushed at a home party, or home party daylight robbery)!

Anyway, what I know for sure is that home party consultants and home party sales representatives are love to host home parties. However, we are in constant need for fresh blood so to speak. Uncle Jim and Aunt Mary, no matter how much they love us will only give our home party business a little boost. If you persist, before too long you will find yourself friendless and shunned by family.

I have the most fun when I know what to expect. I love attending for example dish home parties (we all like free food). I also enjoy attending and hosting home spa parties (who doesn’t like to be pampered?) Ok…but I don’t like nasty feet eeeew! But top on my list of home parties Party Plan Pat is sure to attend, home purse parties! I love a good bag and a good bargain!

Yesterday I shared with you something things to do that will both passively and actively increase your home party plan sales. Today we will cover the actual home party.

By now you have been emailing, sending out post cards and getting the word, doing free gives. You fast becoming a home party consultant tour de force! Come the day of the party:

1. Set up a small table (like the size of a card table) in a well lit corner of the room you are holding your home party, nicely arranged with your best selling products. (To jog the memory show case the products you have been promoting through your emails, post cards and the like) Make sure that you have some sort of discount on these items, even if it’s only 5%! People love discounts!!! You are also more likely to sell products if people can see the quality of them with their own eyes.

Step 2: Include home party games. This a good way to break the ice and get people settled and relaxed. Because you are putting into practice your home party business building techniques, you will have a lot of guests that don’t know each other,
in home show party games are the easiest thing you can do to break the ice. Make them laugh and they’ll all be friends from that point on!

Popular Icebreaker Game -
Let each guest pick out a balloon from a bowl. Then explain, the first person to blow up their balloon, tie it, sit on it & pop it, will win a free gift. This is a great ice breaker for any group, it gets everyone up and laughing.

Step 3: At some point in time, we must put you - the home party consultant/home party sales representative on the hot seat. People love to buy, people love to buy even more from people that they like?

A simple in home show party game to play is; How Well Do You Know Your Home Party Consultant?-
Give a piece of paper to your guest and have them number it from 1-10, then ask them the following questions:

1.) What is your home party consultants favorite color?
2.) If she could have any vehicle what would it be?
3.) How many kids does she have?
4.) What is her favorite hobby?
5.) Who is her favorite actor/actress?
6.) What is her favorite item on the table?
7.) What is her favorite scent (can be a perfume)?
8.) What is her favorite cartoon/cartoon character?
9.) What is her favorite animal?
10.) If you were in need of something would your home party sales representative give it to you if she could?

After everyone answers the questions read the question again to the hostess and she will reply out loud what her answer is, and they would mark on the paper if they got it right or wrong. Then, they total up their score. You guessed it, winner gets a prize!

Step 4: Giveaway prizes for your home party games. People love to play games and they especially love to win prizes (especially when the prizes show that you put some thought into them), take advantage of this!! If your company offers samples of their products, use these as the prizes. Or better yet, make up a gift basket of samples and maybe one full size product to give away at the end of the home party.

Step 5: Gift Certs. Hand out to each home party guest a sealed envelope. Include in just one of the envelopes a gift certificate (you can easily make one on your computer). The gift certificate can be a monetary one e.g., $10-$15 dollars of the entire home party plan sales of the evening over a (given amount) or a percentage off the sale. The recipient will appreciate it and most definitely order!
