How many of you out there are wondering to yourselves what more you can do to generate interest in your direct sales opportunities?

You are currently wasting time attending hotel meetings, harassing your family and friends, buying leads and hammering away at the phones because no one ever showed you effective recruiting tips or how to enroll more people in a month than most people do in a year!

You have used all the direct sales resources, you have bought your consultant supplies and your are hosting home parties, but you just know something is just not right!

Recently I spoke of lessons I learned from a spider relative to increasing home party sales
And how to build successful work at home opportunities! I would like to revisit this issue!

I love to read and I just finished reading The Mastery Of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz. I share with you an excerpt:

“In GREEK MYTHOLOGY there is a story about Artemis- the divine huntress. Artemis was the supreme huntress because the way she hunted was effortless. She fulfilled her needs so easily and lived in perfect harmony with the forest. Everything in the forest loved Artemis and to be hunted by her was a great honor. It never seemed like Artemis was hunting, whatever she needed came to her and that is why she was the best hunter… Her animal form was a magical deer that was almost impossible to hunt.

Artemis lived in perfect harmony with the forest, until one day a king gave an order to Hercules, the son of Zeus, who was searching for his own transcendence. The order was that Hercules had to hunt the magical deer of Artemis. Hercules, being the undefeated son of Zeus, did not refuse…There was no way Herucles could get this deer unless he became a better hunter than Artemis.

Hercules called upon Hermes, the messenger of the Gods, the fastest one, to lend him his wings. Now Hercules was as fast as Hermes, and soon the most valuable prey was in the hand of Hercules. You can imagine the reaction of Artemis. She was hunted by Herucles, and of course she wanted to get even…Artemis could not capture him! Artemis started to change. She was no longer in harmony with the forest because now she hunted just for the pleasure of getting the prey. Artemis broke her own rules and became a predator. The animals were afraid and the forest started to reject her…” pgs 133-139.

Lessons Learned

1. This is a great story to keep in mind. If you remember the story of Artemis, you will always find the [success] inside of you

2. Whatever traps your attention distracts you from reaching your goal, from getting the prey that is the success of your direct sales opportunities

3. Like the spider weaving her web and busying herself with other tasks, so was Artemis with her hunting. Trust that what you need, will present itself at precisely the right time. I know this is a difficult mountain to surmount, but it is the case.

4. Kung fu is a popular term that has become synonymous with Chinese martial arts. However the Chinese terms kung fu (Chinese: ?? pinyin: g?ngf?) according to our trusted friend wiki, has little to do with chinese martial arts! Kung fu can be used in a context without any martial arts whatsoever. Colloquially, kung fu (or gung fu) alludes to any individual accomplishment or cultivated skill obtained by long and hard work.

5. This Industry is the process of becoming, the cars, the houses, the money are all by products of success.

6. We all bite of more that we can chew. Or we take on tasks and realize it is harder than we had anticipated. Borrow a leaf from Herucles’ book. ASK FOR HELP! Get coaching, this will allow you to become the best that you can be).
